Also, there is this software - Uniprint - that converts all print jobs into
PDF's (compressed, encrypted, less bandwith), and the Uniprint-Client
receives the PDF and prints it into whatever printer is installed without
the hassle of the printer driver. Also, the client allows you to save the
print job as a PDF or email it right from the preview screen (if preferred).
I have Metaframe 1.8 on NT 4.0.

If you are installing MetaFrame XP (latest version of Citrix) the Printers
should no longer be an issue as this version uses a universal printer driver
for unrecognized printers during the client autocreation process. In my
mind, this feature alone was worth upgrading to MetaFrame XP.

You need to install a the full version of Progress on the Citrix box.
There are instructions on Termianl Service/Citrix install on the Epicor web

We have NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition with no client licensees. We are
adding Citrix with 10 licensees. Do we need to also purchase 10 Terminal
Server licenses?

Yes you do! You need a NT CAL as well as a Terminal Server CAL.
Microsnot used to require both a NT CAL and a NT Workstation license
(about $200), but about a year ago they came out with a Terminal Server
CAL (about $79).

Anyone have had any problems going to Citrix, And having problems
with your Crystal forms? I just put Emanufacturing 5.0 on our Citrix
server. But my problem is that when I print a travler as a user the
Customer information and the P.O information stays the same on every
one.

I have a question for all the Citrix users out there. We are currently
using Citrix Meteframe 1.0 to provide Vantage to about 15 remote users.
Is there any reason we should look into a newer version? Any help or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bob,

We use Citrix.
It was installed by Ben Nixon of Epicor.
Our Version was Metaframe 1.8.
It was tricky getting it done right.
(lots of printer issues)
(temp folder issues)
