We are closing a SITE in Kinetic. We have Parts that were created in that SITE but we still want those Parts as we move the manufacture to another location/SITE.
What’s the best way to deal with those Parts to ‘move’ (not transfer the quantity) them to a different SITE?
You’ll want to create DMT’s to create new site records for those parts.
The best option I’m aware of would be to do a BAQ on your partplant records, select the relevant records and export it to excel. From there make updates to the new site that you want to have the records and DMT it into the system.
If the parts have revisions you’ll need to do a similar process with the revisions but here it gets a little tricky because you can’t just update the site on the revision you also need to validate an operation and resource combination in the new site.
