Cloud DT or MT, what SMTP settings and why?

Those of you who are on cloud, what SMTP settings are you using from this help article (https://erphelp113200.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/31759352857869-Entering-Mail-Settings) and why does it make sense for your company vs the others?

Trying to get a feel for what’s working for others.

We switched to SendGrid but previous to that we had a SMTPS relay we’d use and restricted it to certain IP blocks.

I wish those links worked. I’m too unmotivated to go hunt that page in the docs directly.

@utaylor we setup the office 365 option with an enterprise application in entra.
Super easy to setup, there was a KB article walked me through it.

While I agree, would be nice if the links works but a search “Entering Mail Settings” in Help takes you right to it.

Okay, I don’t know how to give you a link that does, I think you can just search “Entering Mail Settings” in your help search in Kinetic and it will link to that same article.

I appreciate your response though, sometimes it’s the thought that counts!

@Randy, can I ask why you used sendgrid instead of O365 connector?

:man_shrugging: wasn’t my decision. I believe for the amount of email we send via SendGrid it was a better cost.

Alright, so email volume was a factor there?

SendGrid can give you email templates, bounce reporting, opt-out notifications, but volume could be a deal maker.

That’s probably at least partly the reason as Marketing uses it for communications as well as Epicor for email alerts.
