Cloud Flex Option

With a lot of the issues on the cloud lately, I am wondering if anyone uses the flex options to delay their upgrades and their experience with it. Is it worth considering until the bugs are fixed or would we be just delaying the inevitable?

Unfortunately, you don’t get the chance to flex before knowing the issues. The deadline to flex is before your Pilot gets the update.

We flexed the first time when we converted from on-prem to cloud, just because the timing of the upgrade wasn’t good for us and we knew well in advance. We still pay for it, but have yet to use it again since going live November 2024.

Then I’d be using it.

The recent issues have made us think about it LOL.

We use Flex option 2, always.

Gives me a few months to let the dust settle.

With the promised decreased cadence, I wonder how all this will shake out.

You mean the coming Monthly cadence instead of bi-annual?

Thats pretty stinky. If you could apply upgrades in CMP you could flex and then trigger the upgrade early in CMP if it looked like a clean update..

I believe the upgrades are in the CMP if you want too. 25.2.10 was in our CMP a week or so before our Pilot got upgraded to .10 by Epicor. Cadence and Flex is just when Epicor is forcing the upgrade.

Three subscription levels

Select, where you have to pay, and log a ticket to flex.
Signature where you have paid but still have to log to ticket to flex.
Enterprise where you pay for it still need to request the flex, but the flex period is waaaaay longer.

Pricing is in order of select cheapest, Enterprise most expensive…
