Commission "Aging" report

We have a similar problem with commissions. A workaround was to create a BAQ with all the pertinent data and then it is copied to excel, where a macro does all the necessary calculations. Unfortunately, we currently do not have a way to keep track of what has already been paid to a rep and what has not, so a "history" file is being used for that purpose. This process will be migrated to a ASP page eventually, and hopefully we will be able to figure out a way to keep track of past payments without a history file.

It would be great to do this in vantage, but I remember running into all kinds of problems when trying to get orderhed and cashdtl to talk to each other (in regards to solving this problem with commissions and past payments, especially partial payments).

Thanks,
Kunal

Bill -
The CashDtl table is the one that holds the payments.
Sorry, I can't be more help than that. (I got lucky and didn't have to do individual payments, so I dropped that table.)
That should get you started and, hopefully, someone else can point you the rest of the way.

The Vantage commission report shows all commissions due for a data
range base on invoices or payments in that range.
I need to produce a commission report based on an aging date to show
all outstanding commissions on invoice balances - what fun!

But, I cannot find where in the schema the payments on invoices are
stored. I need to collect all payments to an invoice up to the aging
date.

Anyone cross this bridge before?

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks Jen,

I did look at the cashdtl table but for some reason didn't think that
all payments were recorded there - apparently my mistake. Will take
another look.
