Subject: [Vantage] Company Divisions Ver 6.1

Until now we are manufacturing everything that we sell. We are adding a
product that we will private label in a buy sell arrangement. We want to be
able to show financial statements for each "division". We don't want to
invoice from each division since customers will purchase both products on
the same PO.

My first thought was to set up a new product category to keep things
separate. That would require a lot of tweaking on our controllers part to
break out the GL accounts and the inventory from the existing financial
statements. Not knowing what is involved in setting up a division we don't
know if this is an easy solution or not.

Does anyone else do something similar? Could we discuss this in depth off
the list if you have the time?

Sincerely,

Mitchell Kirby
