Configurator Global Variables

I'm a bit rusty on them but you should be able to declare it in the parent, associate it with an existing control in the parent.

Then in the child declare a control and associate it with the global. At that point I'd reference the name of the control you created in the child.

Parent: Control Name: ParentStencil: connected to Global Stencil
Child: Control Name: ChildStencil: connected to Global Stencil

In child reference ChildStencil, in parent Reference ParentStencil.

FYI: Depending on the release E9 configurator was/is very buggy so the issue you are experiencing may also be a bug.

Good Moring,

In configurator I ahve a Prent -> Child configured parts set and I want to
referece a Parent Value int he Child.

I declared a Global Variable "STENCIL" and assigned it to an Input in the
Parente Configuration

The help in Epior says I can reference that variable as
PARENT-GLOBAL-STENCIL except anywhere In an expression I put that I get an
error saying Unknown variable..

HELP!
