I have a configurator that creates part records during order entry. Our process is that these configured parts may be customized further by Engineering before being “released” as a job. When we run the Job Order Wizard and tell it to “Get Details” the configurator is executed again to produce the MOM and our customization of the part records are not carried through to the job. Can this behavior be altered so that the “Get Details” routine copies the MOM from the configured part records to the job (as it does for a normal part)?
Our planned workaround is to mark the parts as “not configured” before creating the job, but I would prefer the behavior described above.
why would the config session execute again IF your initial session created a part instance.
i beleive when you create a part the method is created as well and the part becomes a unique item.
i.e. not specifically attached to the configuration what are you part create settings in the config design
I feel we might have a similar thing… we have some basic parts and just wish to configure the basic part to ad x complexity, even better if we could allow the configurator to have it’s options set by import of a spreadsheet (start with basic product, however append adjustments based off additional columns)
