Consumable Tooling

Good point and one we have not solved.

In our case we have a collection of small value consumables that we account for as I explained.
(part class linked to expense, quantities in inventory)

To include the cost in a BOM we also include a "dummy" part which is a non-stock part so it
actually never backflushes.

But the cost is included in the BOM and shows up as a manufacturing gain variance offsetting
the expense of buying the consumables themselves.

Not a neat solution but the one we use.

From Carl's example, it sounded liked inventory held $0 value when
issued to the job. At our facility, we would like to see the cost on
the job in order to see a true reflection of that job's costs. Is this
the case?
