Converting a PDF File

Yes Excel would be nice
So that I can run a comparison on our Access database against the
data the supplier is giving us

I have some specifications that are from one of our suppliers
They use to send me the specifications via excel spreahsheet
Now they are telling me
Just get it off the web
When I go to their Web site, they have created the same information
now in PDF format

Does anyone know of any free (or semi free) utilites that will
convert a PDF file to various formats?

Or does Adobe make something

Thanks

James,

We have Adobe Acrobat and the only "extract" it appears to allow for text is a "Save As" to .RTF, TXT, .PS, and .EPS file formats.
So you can get data out of the PDF file but it may not be in the format you want.

Beyond that maybe someone else has ideas.

Rich

James,
On a guess, open the pdf file, go to the EDIT menu and SELECT ALL.
Select a cell on your spreadsheet and paste. My guess is that most of it
will come over.

The full version of Acrobat can save a PDF into several image types
including TIF. I'm not sure about the reader.

I should have asked this first.

What are you trying to do with the original data?

I take it, you still want to be able to edit it in Excel?
