Another annoying thing is that they can only go up to 999. But this only makes us off by a few pennies.
Here is what we did: Set one of the factors (whichever part has the largest percent of material or labor cost) to 999, and then set the others according to their percentage. So if we really wanted the material factors on three parts/co-parts to be (a) 1, (b) 0.65, and (c) 0.4 - we would actually set them to:
(a) 1 * 999 = 999
(b) 0.65 * 999 = 649
(c) 0.4 * 999 = 400
So they would be set to 999, 550, and 400 respectively, and then the costs would come out very close to the same as if they were 1, 0.65, and 0.4.
