Copy a field to another window

You should be able to simply link a control to a database field, which a UD field on the PODetail table is considered a database field, in the entry form and link that same field to another control in the Tracker form.

Now when you say ‘nothing is showing up’, what does that mean?  Do you see the control in the tracker and no data shows on a PO that you KNOW has valid data in that field OR you don’t even see the control object in the tracker?

OK, I think I understand you are saying. Sorry I have only done a couple of these customizations.

Hey guys,
I added a drop down field on my Purchase Order Entry screen to allow the purchasing agent to choose the order's priority.

Now I want to show that selection in read only form in Purchase Order Tracker. How can I do that?

Thanks in advance!

I think you have a couple of options here.  A customization to the PO Tracker to show the field needed is one or copy the PO Tracker dashboard and the underlying BAQ where you want to show this value to add the field into the BAQ.

I did do a customization to the Purchase Order Entry to have a drop down window with 3 criterias, but now I want to be able to show that selection in a field on the Purchase Order Tracker screem. Is that possible?

Drew,

As Karen said, you will now have to customize the PO Tracker.  We presume that you are linking the DropDown control to a database field.  It is then as easy as creating a textbox in the PO Tracker that is linked to that same field.
I have done that exactly, but nothing shows up. I am using the PODetail.Character01 for the dropdown in the PO Entry and I created a textbox in PO Tracker and nothing is showing up. I don't know what the issue is.

I just noticed you said "database field". Can I not use a userdefined field?

PO Tracker is a SYSTEM dashboard based on SYSTEM BAQs.  You need to create a custom dashboard, create a custom BAQ that adds in the PODetail.Character01 field where you need it to show in your new custom PO Tracker dashboard.
