In Kinetic Web UI, is there any supported alternative for the old Classic “List Tab / Paste Insert” functionality used for mass job closing?

Currently, the process is:

  • Export open jobs to Excel
  • Filter completed jobs
  • Update the Closed field from False to True
  • Paste insert the records back into the Job Closing screen
  • Run Auto Job Close

Since the traditional List tab functionality is not available in Kinetic, what is the recommended approach for mass updating and closing completed jobs?

Would an Updatable BAQ or Dashboard be the best practice for this process?

That’s probably the best way. Other than something like DMT. But that’s not nearly as quick or easy. And, regular users need DMT then. Which isn’t ideal.

There are two open PRBs on this. PRB0298027 - Accepted and PRB0298383 - Accepted/Not Planned. Hoping they come up with something soon, the only thing our finance group has to go back to classic for.

For now yes this is the way to go.
