Copying operations from one part number to another

No, you can't move or copy between checked out part numbers in workbench in
any Vantage version up to and including 8.0

I wish there was...It would be great if workbench had the same
functionality in that regard as the quoting module.

Usually, if I know I'm going to be setting up a bunch of parts that are
similar, or if it is really complex and I'm not sure exactly what I'm going
to do yet, I'll build all the methods in a quote, where I do have all the
copy features, then suck the details into workbench. Much faster than
loading everything manually in workbench and discovering you made a mistake
and have to rebuild it...

Is it possible to copy an operation from one part number to another in the engineering workbench?

We have a part and it has 3 operations. It is a subassembly to a top level part.

What we want to do is take the last operation and move it to the first operation of the top level part number. We want all relative information and comments to go along with it.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Jasper

If you take the part with 3 operations and change the part to Non-Stock
& Phantom BOM, when you create a job the operations will be added to the
top of the parent parts BOM. Any material will also be elevated as
material to the parent part as well.
