Cost Roll Up (6.10)

This is from a document Epicor sent me:

If the Mfd Material is not checked Pull as Asm in the BOM, then its part master cost components will be treated the same as a Purchased part above.

If the Mfd Material is checked Pull as Asm but it has no Revision, it is again treated the same as a Purchased part.

If the Mfd Material is checked Pull as Asm with a Revision that has a BOM and methods, only its rolled up material component will roll up into the main asm parent line. The method's rolled up costs for Subcontract, Labor, Burden, Material Burden will be listed but will not roll up into the main asm parent line.

Subject: [Vantage] Cost Roll Up (6.10)

Today's dumb question which hopefully somebody can give me the quick answer
and save me trawling through a complex costed BOM,
The question is, "What effect does 'Consider Pull As Assembly Settings' have
when performing a cost roll-up?
TIA
Regards,
Richard
