Say there is a job with 5 operations. 10 to 50.
At operation 20, machinist reports 4 good, 1 non conformance.
Op 30 reports 5, op 40 reports 5. By op 50 it's decided that the piece is bad and needs to be scrapped. The non conf at op 20 is dispositioned and reported bad.
Do labor and material costs of op 30 and 40 remain on the job?
Does "closing" a job wash out any costs based on ultimate disposition?
If we use Avg. costing, is there anything I need to keep in mind here?
I would just about to test this, but we have our pilot database offline this morning to set up a test of 408.
Thanks
