Counting record in a group

If the linking to PartOper table is right and the sorting/grouping has Oper after Part then either the COUNT summarization function or setting a variable = 1 and using the TOTAL summarization at Oper reset at PartNum should do it. I'm not sure why but I usually do the TOTAL route. Maybe because I am often setting a conditional tick mark that is either 1 or 0 depending on the circumstance and then totalling that.

Subject: [Vantage] Counting record in a group

I want to count the number of operations for each part in report builder. How would I create a calculated field that would count each record and reset at each part number?

Thanks
Jasper
