Creating a job from sales order

I have always been able to order job wizard from the sales order follow the very simple steps and order the job and release it through there. Suddenly last week the template was gone on the get details screen and then today it won’t even get to the screen for get details in instead shoes order line/release 1/1: Job not created.

Any idea either

a. what is happening?

or

b. a way to effectively open the job manually linked to the sales order with the same capabilities to enter man hours or materials as needed?

You can use job entry to do the same steps as ojw and it is possible you will get a clue as to what has changed.

Is the release set as make direct? Is the job that was a template no longer marked as a template job?

Well that is a great question and a great place to start. I could not figure out where to even begin to find which job was marked as the template. Can I use any of the previous successful jobs as a template or do I need to find one in specifics?

Anyone that knew this system well is no longer here and I’m flying blind over here.

Any job can become a template by checking template in job entry on the right side. The only way I am aware of to see your templates is to make a job to the point of getting details and then from the job tab search.
