Credit card module- tied only to PayPal?

Right now, Paypal is the only alternative.

There were no answers to this, so I'm assuming that no one does credit
card authorization except through PayPal? We need to authorize, but
would like to trigger from inside vantage. Right now everything is
manaul and outside...
Thanks!

I believe you're forced to use the PayPal provider. It's the only selection and the underlying Epicor code is set up to encrypt and authenticate against the PayPal provider.

We do authorizations on orders and then final credit card charges at shipment with the current PayPal implementation. It all works okay.

We do the same thing as below and we have had no problems either.
