Diane,

Thanks for letting me know what problems you have ran into. That was
just what I was hoping for.

Morning,
We are trying to get our Credit Card Module up and running. We have a few questions however;
1.   Has anyone go thier system setup to automaticlly charge the credi card when it ships. If so please help!
2.   Does PayPal act as a gateway and then you need a processor beyond that?
3.   Is PayPal the only setup that is required, and if so how do the fees work?
Thanks for any input,
Matt

Matt,
When I talked to Paypal about it, they offered their gateway service to work with any processor you choose or they offered processor services.
The cost of the monthly services was based on either model. One model would have a flat rate for gateway services (minimal monthly charge) and the other had a higher per-transaction charge.

Hi Matt,

We too are testing our credit card processes in Vantage (8.03.403C).
Our proposed process was to hit the card with 'Authorize' at the
order level and then complete the transaction upon shipment. After
several unsuccessful attempts at this process in our test, we
contacted Epicor and were told that there is a bug in the system and
a shipment is allowed even if the card is processed unsuccessfully.
In fact, the system automatically generates an invoice even. So it
was back to the drawing board for us. Not sure if this helps.

the other issue we're having is that the 'Deposit' and 'Sale' buttons
are not always available at the sales order entry level. I have a
call open with Epicor on this issue. have you heard of any bugs here?

Good luck,

Regarding paypal and the fees.
Yes, Paypal will act as a gateway.
They quoted 60 dollars per month as gateway fee.
If you want them to also act as processor, it is 30 dollars per month plus 2.2% .$.30

They have a default transaction limit of 10k, but upon request, they can raise your charge limit.
