we have always set our crew sizes in the resource groups in Epicor 10 but now we see that there is a place in the Operation that you can enter a crew size as well. The number in these crew size fields were different from the resource group crew size fields. Can someone tell me what these crew sizes affect both the one in the resource group fields and in the operation crew size fields?

The crew size you see on the operation is “normally” getting pulled from the method and is related to the prodstd and the hours for the job. The crew size on the resource is seen on the scheduling resource on the job and is related to the cost or the rate that the resource is setup for. I would say normally these match in a common sense way because you wouldn’t assign a production crew size of say 5 to physically run the job but only cost it for 2 people…? I guess maybe you could but I would not recommend doing that.
