Will definitely check this place out - thanks for passing it on.

The longterm vision would be to enable configurations to come through a third party api that coordinates customers and product configurations between between the applications with the ultimate value being fast quote turnaround and improved quote tracking. The reason for salesforce is primarily its cloud based solution enables us to effectively deploy Crm to a multitiered largely external distribution [cid:ic_list_big_grin] .

We are currently looking at CRM packages that will somehow be able to share data with Epicor 9.05

We are aware of Epicor's CRM package - and that is one we will be considering. If anyone has feedback on this package and how it works, that would be great.

We're also looking at other (non-Epicor) CRM packages. If anyone has experience with any other CRM package and how it can be interfaced with Epicor - that would be good information, as well.
Our company received an email from Epicor titled Epicor and salesforce.com. It made us wonder how committed Epicor is to CRM. We evaluated Vantage CRM a few years ago and decided on MIcrosoft CRM. There are ways to integrate, but none are easy.

Scribe is the only 3rd party tool I've looked at for syncing data, in my case with Dynamics.

And I'm just getting to know Dynamics CRM.
In general I like it but it does seem like it needs to mature.
I keep running into complications with things really should be "simple".

In my case the Epicor module is not what I expect in CRM. The only features that I ever used are calls and a very few tasks. Still, I know some people who use it and like it.

I am interested in tying either salesforce or sugarcrm into vantage via quote module. The longterm vision would be to enable configurations to come through a third party api that coordinates customers and product configurations between between the applications with the ultimate value being fast quote turnaround and improved quote tracking. We developed a connector to Epicor 9 on the scribe platform. It allows you to sync customers, contacts, orders, quotes, parts, inventory, shipments and invoices between Epicor 9 and Salesforce.com or Dynamics CRM.

The integration is simple and cost effective.
