CRM Licenses Blank Title 111395

CRM user licenses are different from the CRM module. The CRM user licenses limit the user to only CRM functionality and are considerably less expensive than full licenses.

From my CAM:
___________________________

The purpose of the CRM User License is to allow sales people to access CRM functions for a lower price than a full office user, with the biggest benefit gained in those situations where the sales force is much larger than regular Office Users. CRM Users are not a requirement to use CRM, because full Office Users can still access CRM also if they purchased the CRM module. Order Management is not included, however a CRM User License has the ability to turn a quote into an order.

The CRM user license will permit access to all installed trackers based on what their CRM User License can access, which only provides full access functionality for: CRM, Case Management, Estimate/Quote Management, etc. So for example, contact, customer, case trackers, etc will all be available, but the CRM user won’t be able to open a Project or Job or PO or Order Entry screen in edit mode as they are not licensed for those.

Does anyone in the group have experience with the new CRM type licenses available in Epicor 9?

We're considering some of these licenses but have a custom quoting interface in place. I'm wondering if these licenses just limit the menu structure of the full client or if it's more like MES with a completely different interface.

Unfortunately my CAM tells me there are no trial licenses available for us to test in.

Thanks in advance,
Sean
The problem, if I recall correctly, is that CRM installation activates a bunch of items that you probably can't easily undo.

Do you have a test environment you can throw it on? If so, I would push back on your CAM for a trial version. Just make sure your CAM knows the only way they'll get the sale is if you can test drive it for a couple of months in a test environment.

Subject: [Vantage] CRM Licenses

Does anyone in the group have experience with the new CRM type licenses available in Epicor 9?

We're considering some of these licenses but have a custom quoting interface in place. I'm wondering if these licenses just limit the menu structure of the full client or if it's more like MES with a completely different interface.

Unfortunately my CAM tells me there are no trial licenses available for us to test in.

Thanks in advance,
Sean
