Crystal 8.5 - IIS requirement

I ran the posted fix and it solved all the problems I was experiencing with
Crystal 8.5. The problem I had was that line and release details were not
printing on PO's, Quotes, etc. - this problem was only on the one machine
that 8.5 was installed on, as Troy stated.

Hello group,

I've just received my Crystal 8.5 upgrade today. It says on the box that
IIS 3 is required. Unfortunately you only get IIS 2 with NT 4
Workstation...

Is anyone else running this on NT 4 Workstation, if so how do you get around
it?

Or do I get a later version of IIS if I move to Win 2000?

Thanks,

Hi Anton,
On this side of the pond, we have been advised that Crystal 8.5
should not be used with Vantage at the moment, there are issues with things
appearing and disappearing on Vantage reports. If you go to the group's
archive and search under Crystal 8.5 you'll find the threads. From what I'
ve read 8.5 has caused some aggravation for some folks.

Anton,
I have 8.5 on a NT 4.0 box for running Crystal Enterprise. I have no ideas what version of IIS is on it, but it's at least 2 years old, so I doubt it is the latest one. Everything works fine for Web reporting.
The glitches with 8.5 seem to mostly be with Vantage's built-in Crystal reports, and for us it has only affected the machine that has Crystal 8.5 installed on it. Recently there was a fix for 8.5 posted to fix this problem, but I haven't tried it yet.

Troy
