Are you resetting the shared variable to zero at the top of the
subreport?

I swear I am having a brain fade on this it isn't working. Again, How do
you write the formula to evaluate the shared variable. I am getting
where
if there is no data in the subreport for the line the shared var from
previous line is repeating

I have my subreport placed in GH1 (I have it there because I have
duplicate records in Detail.
I have my formula in subreport to show total shipments in that subreport
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numbervar DeliveryQty :=Sum ({@TotalShipments});

I have in main report my formula in GF1 taking that Delivery qty and
using
it in another formula
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numberVar DeliveryQty

but on one line I get total shipments = 100
next line I get total shipments = 100 (even if there is 0 in the
subreport)

TIA

Hi Bill,

I usually create a formula in the subreport to reset the shared variable
to zero or a blank string or whatever and place it at the beginning of
the report in the header section.

Hth,

Linda

Somehow this subreport on each line does not print, but they print
individually where the Total for the order prints. This is where I
would like it summarized, but how do you summarize a subreport at the

I have to admit I have always hated the functions Crystal uses. So here
is my dilemma:

Sales Tax on Sales Orders. If every item on a Sales Order is taxed, the
miscellaneous charge shows at the bottom of the order FOR EACH LINE.
What would be the formula to consolidate this? Any help is always
appreciated!

Blake,

I'm guessing the instructions you have were copied from an E4SE document and
the person apparently forgot to change some references. To start, you want
to open
System Management / Company Maintenance / User Account Maintenance, go to
the Security tab and enable the BPM Advanced User option:

Did you order the Tools User Guide. Do you want instructions to install?
or instructions to use? There is a fairly good chapter there on how to
do

Blake,

I'm guessing the instructions you have were copied from an E4SE document
and
the person apparently forgot to change some references. To start, you
want
to open
System Management / Company Maintenance / User Account Maintenance, go
to
the Security tab and enable the BPM Advanced User option:

I swear I am having a brain fade on this it isn't working. Again, How do
you write the formula to evaluate the shared variable. I am getting where
if there is no data in the subreport for the line the shared var from
previous line is repeating

I have my subreport placed in GH1 (I have it there because I have
duplicate records in Detail.
I have my formula in subreport to show total shipments in that subreport
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numbervar DeliveryQty :=Sum ({@TotalShipments});

I have in main report my formula in GF1 taking that Delivery qty and using
it in another formula
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numberVar DeliveryQty

but on one line I get total shipments = 100
next line I get total shipments = 100 (even if there is 0 in the subreport)

TIA

Hi Bill,

I usually create a formula in the subreport to reset the shared variable
to zero or a blank string or whatever and place it at the beginning of
the report in the header section.

WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numbervar DeliveryQty :=Sum ({@TotalShipments});

I have in main report my formula in GF1 taking that Delivery qty and using
it in another formula
WhilePrintingRecords;
Shared numberVar DeliveryQty

but on one line I get total shipments = 100
next line I get total shipments = 100 (even if there is 0 in the subreport)

TIA

I usually create a formula in the subreport to reset the shared variable
to zero or a blank string or whatever and place it at the beginning of
the report in the header section.
