Crystal question

I am trying to create a report to use for our Purchase Orders and would
like to have one field not print until the last page. I have a this
field (Buyer's name) in a page footer and would like suppress printing
on all pages except for the last one.

I would appreciate any hints.

If you place the field in the report footer, it will not print until the end
of the report.

Maybe I'm missing the obvious but you should be able to add it to the report
footer section instead of the page footer.

John,

I needed something similar a while back and discovered a section type called
"Report Footer." Kind of like a page footer section except it only prints
once at the end of the report. Add one of those sections to your report,
move your field in there, and I think you'll get the desired result.

You can add a PONum Group Footer, and put the field there. Or, if you are
only printing one PO per Report print, you can add it to the Report Footer.
John,

Add this formula to the suppress calculation for the field. This should do
what you need.

IF PageNumber = TotalPageCount THEN FALSE
ELSE TRUE

Put the field a Report Footer and it will print on the last page.

Trying again.....for some reason my first mailing did not make it to the
list. Is anyone out there using Crystal 8.5?? I heard that it was needed
for 5.10, but I also heard it was unstable....we are still on 5.00 with 5.10
in a test environment. TIA..

Has anyone developed a RB or Crystal report similar to the "canned" report.
The canned report functions ok, but I need to be able to filter on certain
part numbers and to "Customize" as needed. I've checked the files in Yahoo.
I'm sure you've all run into the "Well, It's ALMOST the way we want it but
we want to change this......" comment. It looks like a bear to write and
I'm short on time.

Thanks ahead of time.

Shirley

We got so frustrated by the canned report and the inability to sub-total at
the customer level within rep that I now export (using RB)all the info once
a month to a CSV file and import that into a small Access database. Now I
can do whatever I want with it in Access. I hate having an external
database duplicating Vantage data but there was no quick way around it. The
heart of the issues were the goofy way commission splits are recorded on the
invoice detail record. Now I can report "true" rep revenue by customer,
state, part, etc... I think it could have been done with Crystal
sub-reports but time was short and sub-reports are a learning curve I have
yet to scale.

Hello Diane
I'm using crystal 8.5 developer edition with vantage 5.00.326. If I edit
any existing vantage reports I save them as a version 7. This seems to be
working fine so far. The only problem I have run into is when using a case
statment in crystal. It generates a formula error in vantage.

Epicor will only support Crystal 8.0 for 5.0 and 5.1. They do not recommend CR 8.5. There are some .dll issues with Vantage in a few cases. Having said that, there are a number of users who have CR 8.5 and are able to live with it without major problems.
