Crystal Refresh XML Preview

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but try the
Business Activity Query. The third tab is "Headings". That lists
the default field labels. You can modify those labels there.

I am modifying a sales order report and in Crystal when i do a print
preview, i link my report for previewing to an xml file from a
previously run Sales Order report in Vantage. After i have created
that link to the xml file, i went into Vantage and added some fields in
the Report Data Definitions. How do i link my crystal report to that
new xml file for previewing?

Another question i have is how do I use the Lables in Vantage? I don't
see a correlation between the "RptLabels" table in Crystal. Can
someone explain those to me?

Thanks
Assuming V8.03 and Crystal 11

To link to a new XML file after adding fields in Report Data
Definitions,

1. In Vantage, create a new "Report Style", specifying the new
Report Data Definition and the old Crystal report.
2. In Vantage, print or print-preview the report using the
new "Report Style".
3. Open up the report in Crystal and link to the XML that you
created. From the Crystal menu, choose "Database", "Set Database
Location...". From the bottom half of the dialog box,
expand "Create New Connection", then expand "ADO.NET (XML)". Click
the "...." button next to "File Path:". Choose the XML created
above (most recent file date in your reports directory).
Highlight "ReportDataSet" in the bottom half of the dialog box.
("ReportDataSet" should have a gray highlight in the top half of the
dialog box. Click the "Update" button. The new fields should now
be in your field explorer under the appropriate table.

I focused the detail on step 3 because that seems like the most
confusing step. If you need help with any of the other steps, e-
mail me direct.

Have a nice day.

That's exactly what i needed. Thanks. As far as the second part of
my question. What is the correlation between the labels in Vantage
and the labels in Crystal. I can't seem to find the labels to change
within vantage that will change in Crystal.
