Crystal Report 8 and Vantage 4

Yes, we had some rather intricate formulas in our CRW 7 which when we tried them on CRW 8, failed. Seagate said it was because CRW 7 had a bug in it which would recognise an empty field instead of classing it as a "null" field. I would have had to re-write almost every report to fix this, and as I am already flat out, the project was shelved. We might look at it again when we look at Vantage 5.1
Our case may have been special, as the errors were mostly in having to re-calculate aging differently to the American system. You might have no trouble at all, depending on how complex your formulae are.

We are currently using Vantage 4 and Crystal Reports ver. 7 for
customized forms. Did anyone have problems with upgrading to Crystal
Report ver. 8 while using Vantage 4.0?

Thanks,

Thanks,
We've had no problem with Crystal 8 on Vantage 4.0. If you distribute
reports/forms the distribution facility has to be downloaded and installed
seperately. Stay away from Crystal 8.5 which is flakey with Vantage (but
the patch does help) and especially if you distribute reports because you
can't at all with 8.5 (must use web services).
