Vic,
I just wanted to say thank you. That worked! At least on the surface. I was ready to pull my hair out. I have another report I was having the same problem with. So now maybe I can fix it too!

Repeat the same joining/linking as you did in the RDD when you created the Relationship.
I'm not quite sure precisely what your ultimate goal is, but InvcDtl and ShipDtl are more suited for each other: Company <-> Company ; OrderNum <-> OrderNum ; OrderLine <-> OrderLine ; OrderRelNum <-> OrderRelNum
Also, if you still can't get the linking to work, another option is to use the Linked Tables in the RDD instead of adding a table and relationship. If you open ARForm in RDD Maintenance, click on the Report Table tab, then List, click on the InvcDtl table then click on the Linked Tables tab. From here you can choose to add "linked tables" that Epicor already did all the heavy lifting for you. Look for "Lookups" named PackLine (ShipDtl) and PackNum (ShipHead). Once you add them, then you can add fields easily from the tables without creating a relationship. The PackLine/PackNum fields will be embedded in the InvcDtl table. Then in Crystal, you don't need to do any linking either. Just look for your fields chosen in the InvcDtl table.

Ok, I can do that. I know this sounds dumb, but if I delete all the links between my IncvHead table and my newly added table ShipDtl how will it link together?

You should be able to delete one link at a time. Click on the link and hit the delete button.

Ok, so if I select the link and click delete link will it delete all the links between the two tables? How can I select only the RptLanguageID link to delete it?

Check your links – sometimes you need to delete the link between RptLanguageID

I made the change in the join between InvcHead and ShipDtl to an outer join as suggested. My report doesn’t blank out now which is way better than I had. Thanks Jarrad! However, there’s still no data returned. I checked to make sure the field I need to add
has data and it does.
Patrick, below is a shot of my linking. They appear to all be parent to child but I’m new at this so I’m not sure.

[cid:image002.jpg@01CFC782.447D1E00]
The relationship I made was:
[cid:image003.jpg@01CFC782.447D1E00]
The schema is a part of the xml but there’s no data showing in it. And yes, I agree, the whole process is hard to work with.

I would check my linking inside of Crystal. menu path Database > Database expert > Linking tab.
try making the shipdtl table an outer link to see if your data appears
