Go into Crystal Reports and open the report.

Go to FILE --> Page Setup.

Check the box for Printer Options that says No Printer.

Save.

Try it now.

It will save the developer's printer used while developing the report. It
should not blow up like that, but sometimes it does.

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Report Invalid Printer Error.

All,

I have a user getting an unhandled exception error when he runs a certain
crystal report. It is telling us that there is an invalid printer specified.

Now when I go to a different computer and attempt to run this exact same
report the report runs flawlessly.

I'm fairly new to crystal and I have no idea where it is getting this
invalid printer from.

Can some one point me in the right direction?

Charlie

There is a new switch "/RPT" which if used when starting Vantage,
tells it to pull the printer specified within the report. If that
printer is not setup for a user he/she can get this error.

Open the report in Crystal, go to File | Page Setup and click "No
Printer" and save. This fixed the problem for us.
