Crystal Report On Vantage 8.03 BD SQL Server 2005

Did you try adding another ODBC user with limited read only table
access and no password for that ODBC user?

Hi all,

I'd like to add custom table on vantage existing report (Order
Acknowlegment), does someone know how to use the user sysprogress in
order to not having a user/ password prompt when opening the report.

Thanks in advance.
Fred.
Fred,

A custom table? Meaning a non-Vantage table within the database?

If it's simply another Vantage system table, you should be modifying the Report Data Definition to get your tables joined, not ODBC.

However, if you do, in fact, have a non-standard Vantage table that you've created within the Mfgsys803 database, then ODBC is your only option.

Go to www.connectionstrings.com and you should be able to find a connection string there. Use that in your Crystal Reports report instead of an ODBC DSN.

Hth.

In Registry for your odbc connection add two string keys UserName and password, then set your values for that parameters .

Yes, Fred, in your database setup on the Crystal Reports report, use a connection string. Visit www.connectionstrings.com for a comprehensive list of connection strings to use.
