Crystal Report Page size

Hello.

There is also a procedure where you replace a .dll file in both your Server and Clients and you will have that capability; we got that .dll file from Epicor Support to print on Legal size about 6 weeks ago.

I don't know if the file would be the same or if there are different files for each version (we are in 8.03.407). If you can call Epicor Support and have them help you, I think it would be cleaner, but if not, let me know and I'll see if I can dig deeper into the solution they provided us with.

Feel free to mention Sabre and James Nalls (Epicor Support person) during your call.

Regards.

I created a Schedule report in Crystal however due to the nature of the data it needs to be displayed in a 11x17in document. I can change the settings in the crystal, however when I test the report using the BAQ report Designer it changes the paper size to letter. Any ideas how can I change the size settings in the BAQ report designer?

Thanks,

Hi Lissette,

There's a run-time argument that you can use to force Vantage to use the report's printer/paper settings:

/RPT
Use this argument to give the application multiple printer options. When active, the application first checks to see if a default printer is selected on a Crystal Report definition. If it is, this printer and its settings are automatically used to print out the report. If a printer is not defined on the report definition, however, the default printer selected on the workstation is used instead.

Use this runtime argument when you need a specific printer, like a label printer, to print out a specific report.

Add the command into Vantage's application icon:
C:\80client\client\MfgSys.exe /RPT /CONFIG=mydefault.mfgsys

Though I should warn you that there's bugs in it. In earlier versions we found that it didn't work at all, in later versions it works but creates a large margin on landscape documents. It's supposed to be fixed in v409 but I haven't tested it yet.

HTH,

Nigel.
