Crystal Report too large for runtime

Have you tried clearing out the local cache?

The following application error was encountered:

Tried to call a method in an invalid procedure. (7224)

This is Epicor's Inv/Wip Reconciliation report. No Graphics involved.

We are running 9.05.604 Progress 64bit on a 64bit 2008 server. When we run a few of our LARGE reports we get an error.

The error seems to happen when the XML file gets to be around 50mb or larger. Our biggest report has XML that is 310Mb.

If I open up my Crystal Developer and then attach the XML I can preview and print the reports fine. But running them from Epicor generates an error.

It was suggested by Epicor that our hardware was not big enough (an answer I have come to expect from MT). However I have tested this on a number of machines with varying ram and OS's - they all fail.

Anyone run across this phenomenon?

Thanks,

Dave Olender (DaveO)
Dave, yes. The XML / Crystal Reports threshold is 500MB. I've found
this by mistake. But it sounds like it's erroring out much earlier.
What is the exact error message and are you seeing anything in the
server logs?

We have the same problem and I would love a solution for it.

Is it the out of memory exception error that you are receiving?

If so, we found that is wasnt so much to do with the size of the XML, but it was
to do with the size of the .rpt file (large graphics etc).
