Looks like a windows update screwed it up. I'm back up and running now.

ODBC setup could not be loaded (126)

could not load setup or translator library

For Open Edge 10.0B ONLY.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

This error has to do with: the registry steps and server path name (step
6)

Following are the steps to setup the DataDirect 4.20 32-Bit Progress
SQL92 v10.0B Driver for MFGSYS version 8.0.

1. Using windows explorer, browse to your
server\epicor\oe100b\netsetup folder.

2. Double click on the SETUP.EXE in the netsetup folder which will
install the OpenEdge 10.0B Shared Network Setup. For the working
directory, you can point to the shared folder on the server. For
example: \\servername\epicor\mfgwrk80
<file:/// <file:///\\> \\servername\epicor\mfgwrk80> .

3. Create and open a new Text document at a workstation (for example:
ODBC.TXT).

4. Copy and paste all of the text below into that new (ODBC.TXT) text
doc.

5. Edit two lines of the text document to reflect your servers name.
The two lines are:

Driver =

Setup=

Change the \\Servername <file:/// <file:///\\> \\Servername> to your
server's actual
name. Save the changes.

6. Rename the ODBC.TXT doc to ODBC.REG. This will change the
appearance of the file and allow it to be added to the registry.

7. Double click on the ODBC.REG file which will automatically import
the information into the workstations registry. Setup the ODBC DSN for
the new DataDirect driver.

I'm hoping someone has a solution to this issue. I started my computer
up today and am receiving this error when I go into my Vantage 8.03 ODBC
connection:

The setup routines for the OpenEdge 10.1B driver ODBC driver could not
be loaded due to system error code 126

Any help is appreciated. The last thing I want to do is reformat my
machine.

If you are using Windows XP, you could just do a Windows Restore back to
yesterday. Did a windows update run during the night or sometime
yesterday?
