Crystal Reports (Vantage 5.1, Crystal 8.5)

you should put the logic in the formatting graphic:
supress option; where the signature will be supress
[If {PoHeader.Buyer} <> 'John Doe']
hope that help, sorry for late reply!

I have a Crystal Reports question. Although I use Access a great deal,
my experience with Crystal is very limited. On the PO crystal form,
one of our buyers for his po's only, wants an electronic signature to
show up on the form when they are his PO's. The reason being his po's
are usually faxed and he wants to be able to just fax these po's from
his machine, but they require his signature. If I create an if
statement, how do I bring in the scanned signature file? As an example:

Authorized buyer: If {PoHeader.Buyer} = 'John Doe' then 'signature'
else ' '. (Where signature would be a word file or a bit map file).

If anyone could provide me with the exact syntax or other suggestions I
would appreciate it. TIA.
I think you should add a section and insert the signature there. Then,
conditionally suppress the section.

Joanne,

Stack the signature images on top of each other.
Under Properties / Suppression my formula is:
IF Left({poheader.BUYER},7) <> "Morales" Then Yes Else No
So if the first 7 letters doesn't equal the Buyer Name then yes suppress
other wise no don't suppress.

By the way I'm doing a 10 minute presentation a Perspectives - Crystal Round
Table and this was one of my examples.

Hope this helps.

Patrick
