Can the page header section & the details section in crystal be linked together so they always print on the same page?

Gary, I don't understand your question completely but basically it will depend on the size of both sections (more the Details section's size); the Page Header should appear on every page, unless you have a conditional suppression set, so its more a matter of the Details section settings and properties.

Hi Gary,

I’m not sure exactly what you need, but you may want to look at Group Options :

Keep Group Together

Select this check box to keep your groups from breaking across pages. (If a group extends beyond a single page, Crystal Reports begins printing the group at the top of the next empty page, but then breaks the group across pages as necessary.)

If the first group in a report extends beyond a single page, and this check box is selected, Crystal Reports begins printing the group on the second page of the report, instead of the first. To avoid this behavior on the first page of the report, clear the Respect Keep Group Together On First Page check box in the Report Options dialog box.

Repeat Group Header On Each Page

If you want your groups to break across pages, select this check box to repeat the group header for every successive page.

Regards,

Linda

My mistake, should have stated to link the group header section & detail sections on same page
Our quotes only use GH1a, GH1b, GH1e, Db & Dc. They will probably never use any other than these.
we usually can get 3 different quoted parts on the same page but the 3rd one can print out on 2 different pages
ex: GH1a b e & Db print on the page and on the next page Dc prints out by itself.
what I am looking for if (GH1a b e Db & Dc) won't fit on with the other lines on the page move that grouping onto the next page

2 ideas:

1) Set all sections to "Keep Together" - not sure if this will work

2) Check "New Page Before" in 1st header section. - May leave a
lot of empty space
