Crystal Sort before grouping

The issue I am having is with the summaries using this method. If I
do a summary at the level of the second group it breaks it down for
each group above. I am trying to see if I can write a formula to do
this.

For creative sorting, I usually create a formula field and then sort/group on
that. You can get around a lot of numbers vs. text issues that way as well.

Or you can just create a group for the number, without the need for a
formula. Have the number grouping as group 1 and the Part Number as
group 2. You can choose whether or not to display (hide or suppress)
the header/footer.

Fleetwood Fixtures
That did it.

Well it works if I don't need summaries, but when I go to do a
summary of the Prod Qty by Part Number I just get one for every one.

Just put two groups in and suppress the higher group from the report

Is there any way to sort above a grouping? For instance I have Jobs
with numbers 1 through 100 on a vb field. I want to sort by the
number and then below that group by Part Number. I can only get it to
group and then sort.
