How I do it is this:
1. Calculated field to convert character fields to numbers if needed.
2. Set up subreport.
3. Rightclick on subreport, subreport links, then use the calculated
fields from the parent to filter, if you use similar naming, it
typically picks the right child field as the link.
4. In the subreport go into select (it should be filtering by the
parameter fields already) and add a filter for the company to speed up
the subreport.

I am trying to add a sub-report to the RMA form since the dbf does not
contain the note field (which is where we describe the problem!) and I
am having trouble with the linking. I have changed the rma number and
line parameters to numeric but the select report fields still do not
have the rma number and line from the report. What am I doing wrong???
