Crystal SubReport Suppression Problems

Dan,

Thanks :) , I got it working now, but most importantly, I had fun doing so.

For all the Crystal Gurus out there,

I made a modification to the Job Traveler report to mark a part Complete
when it's last operation has been completed. To accomplish this I created a
subreport that uses the ASMSEQ and displays a value based on the status of
the last operation for that part.

The report and subreport function correctly, but now my report is double
spaced because Crystal isn't suppressing the line that contains the
subreport, even when the subreport is returning a blank value. Crystal
suppresses the line that contains subreport, if the line or the subreport is
suppressed with check box or formula that contains just "yes".

Adding an if statement that I know to be true such as

if len(joboper.asmseq)=4

will suppress the text of the line but not the line itself

I have identical results when using trying to suppress the subreport itself
using a conditional statement.

I'm running Crystal 7 MR1, and I was wondering if anyone has had any similar
problems suppressing subreports or the lines containing them, based on
conditional statements.

Thanks for your time and help,

Thaddeus

Dan,

THANKS!!

It looks like this is what I need. I'll let you know what happens when I
actually get around to deciphering it.
Not sure if I can call it "Fun", but will be sure to have it.

Have a nice day,

Thaddeus
