Here is a little know fact, but the web component installation in either
Crystal 8 or Crystal Enterprise 8 will stop all of the services for you
during the installation and then restart them once everything is installed.
In order to verify that IIS is properly working you can type in either
http://localhost <http://localhost/> or http://server_name
<http://server_name/> (being the name of the server)
Hope this helps,

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Web component & IIS 4
I am trying to install the web server on my Vantage server running SBS 4.5
with IIS 4.0 installed ? Our network integrator loaded the OS up. How do I
verify that IIS is properly configured and running. I was told that entering
http://localhost <http://localhost> should display my intranet default
page. The Crystal 8.0
install instruction tell me to verify that the web server is stopped before
installing. I have no experience with IIS. Which service would I need to
stop in IIS ? (Default Web Site, Administration Web Site, or Web Proxy).
Would stopping this service prevent my clients from getting out onto the
internet? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
