This is the "looping login" problem that has been discussed. Ted Kitch is the expert on getting it to work the right way. Otherwise, the workaround is to run CWC from a DOS prompt (which shows up on the taskbar) instead of running it as a service. There is an email about it in the archives, but I don't have the time at the moment to go find it.

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Web Component - Refresh ODBC data - userID/Pass word???
Hi. I am very excited that I have finally got the Crystal web component
running and I have the intranet set up using IIS 2.0. Users can now connect
through their web server and view crystal reports via their browser and the
crystal web browser.
However, the problem I am now having is when they need to refresh the data.
When a user click the refresh button, it prompts for the userId and
password. We do not have user id's and passwords for ODBC and we usually
leave them blank, and click ok and it works. However, this screen is
different than the one we get with the odbc driver and it will not accept
the blanks. does anybody know what I need to do to get past this?
Thanks!
Sarah
