CSG Customization Conflict

Oh Karen haha you and I have both been around Epicor long enough to know
that will probably not happen. But what the heck I'll give it a shot, I
called about it once and they couldn't even find the request for the that
was originally submitted let alone the code.

Just wondering if there is an answer to this,

Before I started with my company they paid for a CSG Customization which in
turned ended up being a Customer SalesOrder.r which we put in
/Custom/SalesOrder.r which works fine, the problem is that because of the
weird epicor logic any BPM in SalesOrder now doesn't fire cause once it
fins the Custom file it excecutes that and it stops looking for another
SalesOrder.r in the BPM folder. If I change the order in the PROPATH
putting BPM before Custom the BPMs fire.. but you guessed it the Custom
code doesnt... Any work around?

We had the exact same situation for another screen. Our CSG Customization
was all 4GL code, so I created a BPM with the same code. This kept the
same functionality of the CSG Customization and let me create other BPM's
for the business object.

Can you replace the custom code functionality in a BPM or add the BPM
functionality to your custom code? Does Epicor share the .p file with the
SalesOrder.r version of your customization?

They won't give us the .P only the .R I am actually re-writing the CSG
stuff in a BPM since they haven't given us the .P but its annoying.

Compiled customizations in Progress 4GL code for Epicor 9 are really sad as the programs are NOT going to work in future versions of Epicor -- kind of a short ROI.

Get the program written in .NET (with source) or don't buy it!

How about going back to Epicor CSG? They wrote it, they should resolve the conflict since they know you can have BPMs in Epicor? They SHOULD fix the issue no charge - whatever way will work...I would at least try to argue...
