Not sure I have a complete answer, but things to consider
1 - are you on a Unicode dB? If you want to print in other character sets you would need Unicode
2 – are you going to have multiple companies within same dB? If so, you have the COA issues that were addressed by Epicor 9

We are working on implementing CSF shortly with currency management within E905.700
Printing should not require a language pack if you can have all UI in English

Regarding how well does currency management and CSF work – to be seen

Is anyone running either Currency module or Country Specific Functionality module on 8.03 or 9.05? We are on 8.03.409C and looking to purchase both modules.

Everything I read on Epicor's site says CSF is designed for 9.049504C or higher. Our CAM shows it in his pricebook for 8.03, but after much pushing by me for an answer came back with this:
The answer I am getting is this: Proceed with Caution.

I asked Malcolm Fox to do some digging for me, and this is basically what he relayed:

· There is some CSF related content available for Vantage 8.03, but it doesn't appear to be in use at this time.

· The product was certified back in 2008.

· Shortcomings for the product center around electronic tax submissions, but this is not very common to Thailand so the impact may not be felt.

· The general consensus was that this add-on was not particularly solid before Epicor 9.

I am trying to find if it even works on 9.05.700, and if so what issues exsist.

Also do I need to purchase the language module to print checks?

Not that I don't trust what Epicor says. I'm just tired of purchasing modules only to find out they don't perform as sold and you can't get a refund.
