[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Hi all

I'm trying to add a custom field on the Job pick list report to be passed
to crystal so i can do some filtering in crystal based on this.

In the Reportparam table there is no UD fields to be used.
How can i accomplish this?

Why dont you just use one of the available field in one of the table
already in use in the job pick list ? Youll save yourself the trouble to
try to add a table in a report data definition. (example: character 01,
shortchar01 ect.)

I need a field the user should select at the time of printing and there is
no UD fields in the reportparam table

Depending on what you want to do you may be able to use Report Styles instead. Each Report style would sort/filter differently.

Right but that requires me to keep mutiple reports that are really the same
only different filter so maintenance becomes harder

But actually for the mean time it could be a good solution

thanks

To make life easier you can setup a master report, use variables to establish the sorting and filtering. This step would be pretty much in line with the effort if you could pass a parameter(s). Copy the report and change the values of the variables to adjust the filtering and sorting. When the time comes to modify the report take the master copy, make the changes, then copy and adjust the values on the cloned copies. Copying and changing the variables would add just a few minutes to the process.
