Customer List lockdown

What are some steps that your company has taken to lock down access to customer data in Epicor? Owner wants to prevent scraping a customer list when someone quits, which is more of a universal concern than something specific to him so I want to brainstorm and discuss what steps others have taken. So many have access to BAQs that almost anyone could write a customer export, delete BAQ, then be on their way. And limiting access to customer tracker doesn’t seem very feasible. Thoughts?

Why do so many people have access to write their own BAQs? This should be closely guarded IMO. With BAQ access you can get almost everything out of the database, not just customers. (assuming no field security).

The reality is if someone has access to see all customers, at any point they could technically scrape the list and stash it away for later. You could use territory security so your salespeople only see the customers they should.

This may be more of a legal question than a technical one (confidentiality agreements or NDAs)
