If you take your BAQ and make a simple dashboard out of it (maybe with added criteria inputs of customer code and 'starting with' part number criteria fields), that might do the trick for you.
Good way to get comfortable with BAQs, dashboards, etc., in general.(Practiced knowledge you can build on later for more comlex things.)

Rob... thanks. This has some nice potential. I am getting ready to
test it with my engineering group.
Question... now that I have set this as a BAQ Search option, which is
now available any time we perform a part search, is there a way to
setup a 'Start At' option? Currently the query is displaying 136
items. As this grows it could become an issue to run through each
one to find the one you need.
