That's the customer matrix viewer. In a case like yours, I would search for something like shipping. You'll get a fairly long list, but a lot of SCRs will belong to newer versions with bugs you may not have or older versions with bugs that have been fixed. Or if you know the SCR you can enter that number in the search. Here's a direct link to the viewer:

Hi,

I Hope that someone is able to help. We have an issue with the customer shipment entry screen where when doing a part shipment the pack slip is marked as shipped complete.
This creates an issue because if the sales order is for a quantity of 500 but only 100 goes out on the pack slip, the sales order gets closed 400 short.
I have tried to write a 4gl bpm but the ttshipdtl does not seem to have a record. I have tried this on the update as well.
Whats the best way of trying to do this? Via a BPM or trying to do some vb.net code in the screen. What i would like to achieve is to look at the order release selling quantity minus the order release selling stock shipped quantity to find out if this should be marked as shipped complete.

Regards,

Ross
This sounds like something that should be reported to support. What
version are you running?

Running version 8.03.408B. The issue has been logged with epicor support for about a year but they have not been able to replicate the issue.

I have done a webex with support and they are able to view the issue on our system. We have had some custom work done by the CSG department who say that they have tested and are unable to replicate. We send our DB with steps to replicate but just don't get anywhere.

I was going to try and do either some vb code or a bpm to try and get us by but i have been having a few problems trying to get this to work.

Ross,

Even though this may be a bug, you should be able to execute a 4GL program
that forces that flag off when it's not shipped complete. I've written
tons of 4GL programs for clients to get around Epicor issues, including on
the pack slip.

How are you getting the lines onto the pack slip? Are you adding them one
at a time, or via a mass shipment option. The method will determine what
Epicor method you attach your BPM to.

If you're doing it via mass shipment, you may not have a ttShipDtl record
available. In that case, you may have to let Vantage add the ShipDtl
records, then go back in afterwards and update the ShipDtl table, not the
ttShipDtl dataset. If you're doing it one line at a time, and you don't
have a ttShipDtl, then I would guess you've got something wrong in your 4Gl
program.

One thing to watch out for, if you have to update the table directly -
you'll have to refresh the screen afterwards - or you'll probably get that
nasty "row has been modified" error.

Hope that helps,

I would guess that you are shipping release 1 of a multiple release sales
order, and the order line has the Lock Order Quantity box checked. If that
is the case, release 1 holds the balance of the line and needs to be the
last release shipped as it will close the line on shipment (shipping does
receive a message that the order line will be closed). If you uncheck that
box for your open orders with multiple releases and uncheck the Keep Line
Quantity Constant box in the Company Configuration, Modules, Sales Order
screen the system will behave the way you are expecting. This functionality
allows you to enter a blanket order and keep adding releases without having
to manually track the quantity that you are entering on the releases, as it
will automatically reduce the quantity on release 1.

Ross,
We are running Vantage 8.03.409A. We've had multiple problems shipping orders and have reported them to Epicor. Check SCRs 75479, 75359, and 73739 on the customer matrix viewer. These have reportedly been fixed in 8.03.410. We've been dealing with these issues for over two years. Since I'm generally an optimist (or like banging my head against a brick wall!), I'm hopeful 410 will be released before much longer and that it fixes the things it's supposed to without breaking anything major.

Hi Sue,

Is the customer matrix viewer on the EpicWeb site? I have just had a quick look.

Thanks again.

Ross,

You can find a link to the customer matrix viewer on the EpicWeb home page. After the Apax Partners headline is an Announcement section with New Search Capability. Here's a direct link to the viewer:

https://scrs.epicor.com/es9/Epicor9/search.htm

You need your epicweb id and password. You will need to enter your user ID as web\YourID. (I know it says Epicor 9, but Vantage SCRs are also there.)

Steven, 410 hasn't been released yet. Last date I heard was the end of June, however no one will confirm (or deny!) that date now.

Sue

These have reportedly been fixed in 8.03.410. We've been dealing with these issues for over two years. Since I'm generally an optimist (or like banging my head against a brick wall!), I'm hopeful 410 will be released before much longer and that it fixes the things it's supposed to without breaking anything major.
