Customer View - Error on script execution

Don't know if anyone responded to this but I would try shutting down the
database so there are no users in it. Then execute your statement.

Subject: [Vantage] Customer View - Error on script execution

I tried running this script:

create view odbc.customer_view
as
select * from pub.customer

and get the following error:

SQL Exception 1
SQLState=HY000
ErrorCode=210017
[JDBC OpenEdge Driver]: Failure to acquire exclusive schema lock for
DDL operation [7872]

is there another command I need to do before the create view statement?

Vantage 8 / OpenEdge 10

Thanks

Gavin Davidson
