Customising Searches

Hello,

We’ve come across an issue with Issue Material where, when searching for Lots against a Part/Bin combo, the information that appears in the Search Results is not entirely accurate.

The info at fault is the Qty On Hand. If a Lot is across several Bins, it will take the Qty that exists in what seem to be the first Bin alphabetically, as opposed to the Bin being searched against.

I am hoping there is some way to modify the search to be accurate. Although it only displays the Lots that exist in that Bin, something about the search means it is not actually identifying the appropriate PartBin record for Qty (probably due to it searching Primarily on PartLot.)

I have tried poking around in App Studio and looking at the appropriate event (LotNum_Search) but I am not having much joy. I tried changing it to a BAQ Search but that does not seem to work in these circumstances (no search button is available when it launches.)

What would be the best way to modify the search?

Right click the search box, do Quick Search Entry. Then make your own Quick search, based on your BAQ. Set it as Context/Base default if you want. There are guides/videos/instructions online if you need more help.

How do you USE Quick Searches in the Kinetic UI

I’ve got to be missing something very obvious, but I cannot find the option to use an existing Quick Search in the Kinetic UI. We’re upgrading, and successfully imported an existing Quick Search that I can find and use through the classic UI in 2022.2.11. In the Kinetic UI, I can search in multiple places through either the search magnifying glass button, or right-click, but nothing is offering me access to the Quick Search, I only see options for Basic, Data Tags, and BAQ.
