I was able to change the custom control names in the custom XML editor. Problem solved. Credit goes to Ken Williams in the EUG forum for suggesting the custom XML editor. Thanks Ken!
Hi,
I've been working on a customization. I named a custom control something that a base control was already named. This broke the customization and Epicor won't let me get back into it to change the name of the custom control to something else. I get a Control/Variable Name Conflict message that says, "An underlying layer now uses an control/object with the same name. You will need to rename the control/object in the custom source code." The problem is that I can't find the source code for the customization. Does anybody have any ideas?

Use customization maintenance, you can edit the code from the actions or export and hand edit the xml. In E9 under System/Utilities, In E10 just search in Menu for Customization
